Susanne Tabet is a German contemporary abstract painter who lives and works in Falls Church, Virginia. Self taught, she began painting in her early twenties when a visit to the Tate Modern in London ignited her desire to replicate Amedeo Modigliani’s distinct abstract female portraits. She continued to study and explore the works of other great masters in the realm of abstract expressionism and over the years developed and evolved her skills and distinctive personal style. Her focus remains on the female form which she brings to life with contrasting colors and bold, energetic brush strokes. Her portraits exude strength and vulnerability. In Susanne Tabet’s view, a reflection of the complexity, beauty and power of a woman.

Matina Vossou is a self-taught artist living in Athens, Greece. She uses acrylics and a toothpick, a technique which she learned by her father, who was a naïve painter. She paints faces like perfectly unfinished mosaics of emotions and ideas. She believes that every face is a journey and probably looking at them is going to be our longest, most adventurous and knowledgeable trip. Her most recent participations were in Onboards Biennale in Antwerp, Belgium, in Emerging Scene in Dubai, UAE and in Artbox, Urbanside, Gallery in Zurich. She is also included in the 2021 publication (yearbook) of the Gran Anuario Internacional de arte contemporáneo, edición Madrid. She has exhibited her artworks in MADS Gallery in Milan. She has been featured in various art magazines. Except from painting, she also loves writing; her play “The Nothing of People” (a dystopian comedy) was published in Greek in 2018.
