ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic journey is deeply rooted in a passionate commitment to social consciousness and cultural exploration. Drawing inspiration from my native Kazakh heritage and the rich tapestry of Asian history, I use my art as a powerful tool to shine a light on pressing social issues such as corruption, domestic child abuse, and feminism. Through thought-provoking paintings and installations, I strive to stir public consciousness and advocate for positive change in society. My work delves into the complexities of womanhood, cultural traditions, and environmental challenges. Whether it's celebrating the resilience of women in Kazakh culture, shedding light on the plight of child abuse survivors, or envisioning a sustainable future through eco-friendly urban landscapes, each piece carries a profound message of introspection and hope. In addition to my visual art, I'm deeply engaged in the realm of education and advocacy. I provide free lectures on art history and collaborate with fellow artists and professionals to foster creativity and beauty in every aspect of life. As a member of the NU Theatre Club, I bring together students from diverse backgrounds to create compelling performances that reflect the depth and diversity of our society. By bridging the gap between academia and artistic expression, I aim to inspire others to embrace their creativity and make a positive impact on the world around them. Through my art and advocacy, I hope to spark meaningful conversations, inspire action, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society for future generations.
