OVERVIEW
"They say art imitates life. I have a great eye in capturing my surroundings, and my photos imitate my surroundings. What I capture in the moment, I bring it to life. The photos I capture are symbolical and metaphorical because they represent the essence of life. Most of what I capture are objects and things because they are just as important as people when it comes to photographing subjects. Most of what I capture are objects and things because they are just as important as people when it comes to photographing subjects".

Derrick Whaley
Born and raised in Baltimore, Whaley's passion for photography started when he was in high school, but he took it more seriously in college when he enrolled in a digital photography class. It opened his eyes to photography even more and hasn't looked back since he purchased his first camera. During that time, Whaley started using his iPod as another camera source to take pictures just because it was easy, convenient, and following the increase of technological camera usage. There's no limitations on being creative.
