Bela Balog
I consider myself primarily as a digital artist of deconstructivism and futurism. I mix a lot of architectural elements into my digital works. These create a sense of chaotic structure, increasing the dynamism of the work. What also draws the audience to decipher these images are the recognizable figures and silhouettes. In the future, I want to follow this imagined path and create more new series in the same style. After a few years of experimentation and technical practice, I feel like I’ve found my own style, but not giving up on continuous experimentation either.
All my artworks are a process of a story, a plot. Stories that surround my narrower or wider environment. Sometimes it’s a simple newspaper article or a photo inspired, but there are times when it’s a literary work, a movie, or the streets around my residence, the riverside, or the people.

What do you aim to say by the themes in your art?
I tell stories with my artwork. It is a mixture of real stories and fiction, but it is definitely related to our life and environment.
Where does your inspiration come from?
Anything can inspire. A newspaper article, a photo, a story I heard in my environment, a music or a movie. Anything. Our lives and environment are full of inspiration.
Do you have experiences that impacted your art?
It wears extremely bad when I see injustice or suffering. These always affect my art.
Do you feel your art challenges existing barriers?
I think others would be better able to answer that. Some who have seen, perhaps studied my works of art a little more in depth. But I try to tell the truth, even if it’s partly fiction. Art makes us free, that’s the most important thing.
What are your long-term artistic goals?
The answer is simple. To create, to create and to create even more. And hope there will be a few people who will like my work.
What advice do you have for aspiring artists?
To always be free to create and always listen to their own thoughts and tastes. I would advise anyone: "Don't let anyone get you out of this way."
